Description:

Safety in sports events is not a luxury but a fundamental prerequisite for their success. The book “Organizing Safe Sporting Events: A Technical Manual for Public and Private Bodies” offers a comprehensive and practically applicable approach to identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with every stage of a sporting event. Based on modern tools such as the EMBOK model and the FMEA method, this manual guides professionals through critical issues, including crowd management, ensuring athlete integrity, proper operation of open and indoor facilities and swimming pools, as well as the development of feasibility studies. It also addresses prevention, preparedness, and emergency response, along with practical safety aspects such as first aid provision, use of technology, and protection of all involved parties. This manual is a valuable and timely resource for public and private sector professionals, event organizers, technical advisors, and anyone aiming to organize safe and successful sporting events.

The book will be introduced by the Dean of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Konstantinos Alexandris, Board Member of EASM – Scientific Chair, EASM

Description:

The book Women’s Olympic Wrestling is the first comprehensive manual that provides information and presents women’s wrestling across all scientific fields related to the training of female athletes in a contact sport.
The authors place special emphasis on the unique aspects of training and preparing women, as well as the differences in training between men and women.

Our goal is to offer guidelines for all professionals involved in the development of women’s wrestling. I am confident that our manual will resonate with a wide audience and become a reference book for coaches, trainers, and specialists who work with women in contact sports.

The book offers coaches, trainers, female athletes, and wrestling enthusiasts the opportunity to get to know a sport with an intense competitive character.
It will also enable them to expand their knowledge and enhance the training methods they already use, which will positively impact the performance of women involved in contact sports.
