Edited for the Greek Edition by: Georgia Yfantidou

Konstandaras Publications

Description:

This book, Sport Management: Principles and Applications, aspires to serve as a comprehensive and contemporary academic textbook that combines theoretical foundations with practical application, covering almost the full spectrum of key dimensions of sport management.

Its structure follows a progressive approach, moving from the fundamentals of management and the core principles of management, marketing, financial analysis, law, and ethics, to more specialized applications in amateur and professional sport, facility and event management, eSports, sponsorship, sport broadcasting, data analytics, and the sports product industry.

A key strength of the book lies in its multidisciplinary perspective and the contribution of distinguished scholars and industry professionals, who bring together both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The book goes beyond the mere presentation of concepts, aiming to highlight the contemporary challenges of sport management, including the globalization of sport, digital transformation, crisis management, issues of ethics and social responsibility, and the role of sport as a driver of sustainable development and quality of life.

The book will be introduced by Georgios Pingos, Head of the Directorate of Sport for All, Promotion, Sports Development, Scientific Support and International Relations at the General Secretariat of Sports.

Teaching Catchball

Evangelia Amprasi, Ioanna Kallistridou
Disigma Publications

Description:

This book is the first handbook presenting the sport of Catchball and was created with the aim of highlighting its development, values, and potential. In this book, fellow Catchball coaches will find a guide that will lead them through their first steps in coaching this new sport. It aspires to equip coaches with all the necessary tools to gain a deep understanding of Catchball, organize their training effectively, and strengthen team spirit.

Specifically, this book includes everything a coach needs to know when starting a new sport, particularly when training women of different ages who may not be familiar with the sport and may not have prior athletic experience. It offers guidance on how to help these women try this new experience and grow to love it.

Through this book, we as authors hope to contribute as much as possible to the spread of the sport through quality training. We aim to add a small but meaningful contribution and support fellow Catchball coaches by providing them with a practical training guide.
