TASTE PAMTH – LOCAL & HEALTHY FOOD EXPO
The Taste PAMTH – Local & Healthy Food Expo is a dynamic parallel event of the conference, highlighting the gastronomic wealth of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and promoting the principles of healthy, high-quality, and sustainable nutrition. At the heart of this initiative is the essential connection between wine and local agri-food products, creating a comprehensive ecosystem of experiences that brings together producers, catering professionals, and the general public.
Within the framework of Taste PAMTH, the distinguished chef Mr. Dimitrios Tziovaras, associate of Chef Evangelou at the Macedonia Palace, will participate to showcase the creative and modern dimension of gastronomy. Through activities that link local products, flavor, hospitality, and healthy eating, the presence of such guests significantly enhances the prestige of the event and establishes a broader, high-quality promotional framework for participating wineries.
Furthermore, renowned sommelier Sissy Tzelepidou will guide participants through a thematic food-pairing workshop, focusing on the harmonious connection between regional wines and local products. This activity is also addressed to catering professionals, strengthening expertise and fostering wine culture within the region.
In the outdoor area of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (DUTH), six specially designed booths will be in operation, where local producers will present authentic regional products. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the producers in person and taste flavors that capture the unique identity of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
The program also features a roundtable discussion with the participation of the chef and professors from the Democritus University of Thrace, focusing on the importance of raw materials and local production in modern gastronomy, as well as thematic wine-tasting evenings.
Taste PAMTH – Local & Healthy Food Expo is not merely a food exhibition; it is an integrated experience of culture, taste, and knowledge that highlights the unique gastronomic identity of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, strengthening its position on the modern culinary map.
